A HOUSE WITH A VIEW FROM BOTH INSIDE & OUTSIDE

NAIVED is a project which is a collective hands-on effort between the client and the designer. The designer is invisible and the design is celebrated Banaji & Associates is a multi-disciplinary firm. One of our specializations is design and creation of beautiful homes however we are excited to take on unusual projects & quirky locations or that present a particular creative challenge.

This project was designed with the clients family of 4; father, mother and 2 adult girls and pets in mind. The clients brief was fluid, we were asked simply to bring it to life but was presented with an existing floor plate that was restricted within a society scheme. Encumbered by the existing adjoining structure along with compound walls dominated with several levels as the house to be redesigned was perched on a steep slope.

Naived is a successful union between design, furniture and space planning. We provided interesting bespoke items and textures, to help infuse some interest and intrigue whilst focusing on keeping a comfortable, relaxed, functional and practical space.

We loved working on this lovely bright new-build home in North Goa. Our design was based around natural materials with varied textures, sympathetic to the character of the bungalow and its surroundings, wherein the layout allows the rural landscape to be seen from all the propertys large windows. This lovely new-build home came together with personality and an equal focus on comfort and practicality. The addition of a bold, yet classic, color palette worked wonders to brighten up the space. Combined with the clients personal belongings, styled beautifully on the bespoke media wall shelving, this project really became the perfect family home, bursting with personality.

The whole spatial experience resonates with a Mediterranean muse , accentuated with a subtle synthesis of textured plastered walls, floors, oversized openings, quirky pieces of art, spaces created by juxta positioning of rooms while still rhythmically rhyming with the playfulness of the greenery intentionally created and some greenery that existed.
